CREDO for Bishops

The College for Bishops recommends bishops attend a CREDO conference as the third step in their continued formation. Individuals with four to six years experience as a bishop are ideal candidates. This 8-day program guides participants through an assessment of their past and present in preparation for their future.

Offered by CREDO, Institute, Inc., conferences strive to “provide opportunities for people to examine significant areas of their lives and to discern prayerfully the future direction of their vocation as they respond to God’s call in a lifelong process of practice and transformation … Through sessions on wellness, spirituality, vocational discernment, and financial planning in a relaxed atmosphere, participants reflect on a four-step life cycle process of identity, discernment, practice, and transformation. The conferences are intentionally designed to be learning communities whereby learning and community are inextricably linked.”
